With a focus on wireless networking for industrial applications, iVolve's services include the design and provision of wireless infrastructure for the mining, construction, and transport industries. iVolve partner with key companies on development projects incorporating wireless technology. Projects can be application specific for a particular vertical market (e.g. minerals processing - pot line monitoring; open pit mines - machine guidance; construction - remote site management).

Typically iVolve work with partners who utilise the Nexis technology as part of a turn key solution and as such provide the integration expertise of the Nexis nodes into a complete system. iVolve also work outside the industrial space with commercial applications relating to wireless and mobile technologies. NEXIS AND RELATED SERVICES

iVolve’s flagship product suite, Nexis, designed for the industrial environment, such as mining, is a 3rd generation, powerful and secure mobile wireless platform with mesh capabilities. Based on open standard technology, the Nexis platform will integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure, and where no infrastructure exists also provides the high-speed backbone link.

Beneficial Application of Nexis and services for heavy industry:

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Past Solutions include:

Development of a suitable wireless solution for the remote programming of PLCs in cranes on pot lines for aluminium smelters
Development of a suitable wireless network for a water pump station control system in an open pit coal mine
Development of a monitoring system for copper tankhouses for remote maintenance. Nexis was extended and integrated with other wireless devices to provide a custom wireless system to capture data from sensors in each individual copper cell and transfer the data into a site's process control environment.
Remote telemetry for monitoring PLCs on drill rigs to report back engine metrics such as hours, rpm, oil pressure, temperature, etc.
PDA applications for field personal within a mining and manufacturing environment. Such as applications where maintenance staff and engineers are working in the field and require real-time feedback with the control room.
